This collection is composed of black and white photographs. The photographs measure 5.5 x 4 inches and are mounted (possibly pasted) on gray construction paper. It is likely that the collection was once in a scrapbook. The name and years in office are written in black ink on the paper below the photos. One photo has a 4 x 5 negative and contact print (1. Charles S. Storrow).
December 1, 2009, the Library received many items from the estate of Phil Laudani. Among the items were prints of the mayors of Lawrence that were used in his book “Mayors of Lawrence” as well as a framed collection of the same photos. The images include all the mayors from Charles Storrow to Mary Claire Kennedy.
Also included is an October 12, 1910 Columbus Day souvenir (compliments of Reid & Hughes Co. Lawrence, Mass.). It measures 41 x 31 cm. and includes a picture of city hall in the middle, the city seal, and pictures of mayors from Storrow through Cahill in small ovals with their names and dates in office below.
