Description
Offspring of two prominent Princeton families are pictured. On the left is John Alden Beaman (b. 1897-11-01) son of Henry Clayton Beaman, a Harvard College graduate, class of 1885, and Jennie Hoover (Bartlett) Beaman. He is the grandson of Phineas Alden Beaman and Harriet (Thompson) Beaman. Phineas once owned the entire property containing Wachusett Mountain and developed many hotels in town. He also served a term in the Massachusetts state legislature. On the right is Ward Nicholas Boylston, Jr., son of Ward Nicholas Boylston who built Boylston Villa on the estate of his relative, Governor Moses Gill, on Worcester Road, Princeton, Massachusetts in 1819 (the Boylstons lived in the Gill Mansion until 1918).
