Description
Children and teachers pose in front of the School Street School, the first high school in South Hadley Falls. A bell tower is visible at the top center of roof. The school was opened in 1851 and enlarged in both 1867 and 1879. The school closed in 1932 and was demolished in 1934 with Works Progress Administration funds.
