Description

Students attend a college dance in 1943. At these dances, the women of the college entertained servicemen on leave. During the war years, breakfast and lunch cost approximately 35¢ each, while dinner was 50¢. In 1954 the costs were similar, still 35¢ for breakfast, 50¢ for lunch, and 90¢ for dinner.
