Description
Streetscape of Centre Village Southbridge looking east. The street is unpaved and there are some vehicles standing on Main Street. Some elm trees are seen on both sides of the street. The curve of the street is viewable from this vantage point. Two young girls are walking in front of the Universalist Church on the left foreground. Some men are walking on the opposite side of the street. The Whitford building on the corner of Hamilton and Main streets has its original four floors. In the 1970s, the top floor was destroyed by fire. A large sign in the distance announces the Columbia block.
