Description
The graduating class of Southbridge High School, in 1909, is shown on the steps in front of Town Hall, Southbridge, where the school was located on the top floor. There are twenty six students in all, sixteen of which are female. The students are in formal attire - long skirts and long sleeved blouses for the girls, and suits and ties for the boys. The students are all identified. Ruth Beecher is the soon-to-be librarian. According to the annual report, Fred E. Corbin was Superintendent of Schools and Principal of the High School. A detailed view of the two sets of double doors with leaded glass, is provided. The majestical columns are towering over the students.
