Portrait Ralph Augustus Monroe age 4, son of Dr. Charles Eugene Monroe and Ida Cook Monroe. This image was used in promotional material for Dr. Charles E. Monroe's optometrist practice in Southbridge, Massachusetts. Young Ralph is wearing a jacket with large ribbed collar with mid-calf laceup boots with a round floppy hat on his head. His bangs hairstyle shows underneath the hat. Ralph A. Monroe was born in Southbridge on June 21, 1898 and died in East Longmeadow, in 1982. He is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Springfield, MA. Photographer Warren of 15 Hamilton St., Southbridge.
