View of the Lower Common at the junction of Prospect Street and Clarendon Street. To the left of the image is the Common surrounded by a distinctive split rail fence. The first building on the right housed Provision Market, operated by Antoine Snow, on the first floor and the Grand Army Hall (George C. Wells Post) on the second. The next, shorter building was the police station. The next building is the West Boylston House.
