As part of the 1971 townwide observance of the 200th anniversary of Williamsburg's founding, 37 local women created the 42 squares of this commemorative quilt. Each square depicts a theme, event or place that is familiar to people acquainted with the town and its history. The quilt is worked in a large variety of patterned and solid-colored fabrics.
