Line engraving frontispiece from the Polyanthos, Oct. 1812. (J. Buckingham: Boston, 1812) depicting the church that became known as the Federal Street Church, in Boston, Mass.. In 1788 state leaders met in the church to debate and decide Massachusetts' ratification of the United States Constitution. The church re-named itself the Federal Street Church in honor of the event.
