Description

Image of Bardwell’s Drug Store. Bardwell’s Drug Store, owned and operated by Charles E. Bardwell, was found at 1-3 Main St. in the Flatiron building. The walls are lined with glass-fronted cabinets filled with bottles of medicine. To the left is a display case that contains cigars. To the right is the soda fountain and candy counter. Charles E. Bardwell and a young assistant stand behind the counter while a customer in a bowler hat sits on one of the five stools and sips a fountain drink. An advertisement for Ensign cigars, as well as several other brands of cigars hovers above the counter. The ceiling is made from wooden planks while the floor is tiled.
