Completed in 1929 the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library replaced Brechin Hall as tyhe main library of the school. Charles A. Platt was selected as the architect for this building by Thomas Cochran, and Platt designed many of the other buildings on campus as well. Cochran's view of the campus with its predominantly brick buildings is used today as a guideline for new construction. The columns are up and the roof is almost finished. Dedication and the interior is still ahead.
