Seacoast gun carriage being tested, circa 1900. Gun barrel manufactured at Watervliet, NY. Carriage manufactured at Watertown Arsenal. Two to three stories tall. Since the United States commenced the rehabilitation of the seacoast defenses in 1888 the only seacoast gun carriage factory has been the Watertown Arsenal.
