This a sketch of the proposed library. The front door was not placed in the center of the building but moved to the right side and there are fewer front windows indicating that the building is smaller than originally planned. Located at 123 Main Street. Main Library, Main Street, built in 1883 and designed by Shaw & Hunnewell. The library was founded in 1869 and operated out of the Town Hall until its move to this building.
