OUR NEW HOPPER.
While we show illustrations of our new large hopper
in our book, recently published, we have other cuts, one
of which is shown above, giving another view of the
mechanism, and showing its relation to a section of the
loom.
These new attachments are giving universal satisfaction
and their larger capacity has proved of undoubted advantage.

JAliES DRAPER.
In our July " Chats" I gave a brief sketch of Ira
Draper, the real founder of our present line of industry, and
showed how the business, started by him, was transferred
on October 9, 1830, to his eldest son, James.
James Draper was born in 1787 and resided in Wayland
for the greater portion of his life. His connection with
