finds the textile mills to a large extent in a period of
depression that has had but few bright spots during the
year. With increased taxes due to the war, the marking
down of valuations and general curtailment, most mills are
having a chill that may be compared to the trees of our
local village during the ice storm early in December.
Let us have faith however that with the coming
months by conservative management and all working
together, prosperity may return to textile manufacturing as
well as to all other industries of our nation.
