Photo shows the former trolley car barns located at 14 Valley Street on the east side of the street near the intersection with Water Street. The brick structure was built around 1890 to serve the Water Street line of the Wakefield and Stoneham Street Railway Company. The large opening at the northwest end allowed trolley cars to enter the building for maintenance and repair. The building is now used as a garage for motor vehicle repair.
