Description
Since writing the enclosed sheet you have visited me on your way to Exeter - I have heard you play on your banjo with tears in my eyes, thinking it might be the last time - I have thanked God that you brought yourself to say words to me that you will always be glad of & still had tears in my eyes, that I suppose you should hardly understand. I hung on your neck at parting.
Well knowing that it might be the last time I should have strength to lift my arms there. You will look back upon these pleasant moments
