Description

"Through sun, snow, sleet and rain.....true, our mail still comes every day but Sunday. Though it only cost .02 for first class postage in the early 1900's, it is still a bargain at .44 to get a letter delivered anywhere in our country, right to someone's door! It is with this fascination that I chose to photograph our post office. Though there's automation used today, there are still bins and big sorting rooms that don't look as far removed from time. Suits and ties have been replaced by blue uniforms and the horse has been replaced by mail trucks and planes." - caption provided by Annette Dupon, contest winner.;Winner of photo contest, First Place, Adult category.
