Description

A hand-drawn and colored lamp design by W. Joseph Carr. The drawing shows a lamp that has a light, peach colored shade and an orange base. The drawing is labeled number 29. Joseph Carr was a noted furniture designer, artist, cartoonist and sculptor from Gardner, Massachusetts. He worked for the Heywood-Wakefield Company as a furniture designer from 1936 till the company closed its doors in 1979. He also did freelance furniture designs for a variety of furniture companies including S. Bent & Brothers, Inc. The exact company this design was for is not known.
