ARTICLE I.
Tllc rnles in this Article are binding upon all tbe Students.
1. Students having connected themselves with the School, must
consider its rnles binding upon them until the end of the term, or
until they seYer their connection with the Institution.
2. Students ma.,- be excused from the opening exercises in the
mOl'l1ing, by furnishing an excuse from their parents, in writing, at
the beginning of each term.
3. Btndy bours hegin Monday morning at 9 o'clock, and continue
until 9 P. M., with a recess from 12 to], and from 4 to 7.
4. Pupils must, in every eveut of absence fwm class exercises,
furnish a written statement of the reason for the absence.
5. Students not belonging at the Boarding House lllllst not enter
it without permission from the Steward.

7. To preserve the neatness of the School Rooms, and to desist
from marking, marring or in any way defacing the lmildings, is a

9. Students will be allowed to stnd,- out of the School Room,
only at the request of their parents, in' person or in writing.

32 demerits, information of the same will be for" IYarded to
11is parents. 1' Vhen by persistent disregard of the rules of the School

shall cease.
ARTICLE II.
The rules in this Article are binding npon those Students who
live at the Boarding House.
1. All callers must be received in the reception room, unless
permission be grantcd to clo otherwise; and in no case must a gentleman
visit a lady student's room, or a lady visit a gentleman student's
room. For violation of this mle both parties " lYill be held
responsible.
2. The Steward will appoint snch regular holll's for meals as he
deems proper, and students must be present at that time.
3. The house will be closed at 9 : 30 P, M., and each Stndent
must be in his or bel' own room at that hour, and the builrling quiet
and orderly. Students must retire at ] 0 : 30 P. lVI.
4. Students will not leave town cxcept to go home on Friday
night, without permission from the Principal or the Teacher in
charge. This rule applies to all students from out of town.
5. Stndents remaining in town on the Sabbath, must attend
church one- half day, at least.
ARTICLE III.
It becomes the duty of the Assistant Teacher, Steward amI
Janitor to report all violations of the above rnles.
SCHOLARSHIP.
Students " ill be ranked in scholarship on the monthly examinations.
The maximum mark is ] 00. Every Student who fails to
obtain 50 per cent. of this mark on any examination, will be required
to go through the examination again, until the required 50
per cent. is ohtained.
Marks of Scholarship and marks of Deportment are not comhined.
A careflll report of each Stndent's scholarship and deportment,
together with the stndies pursued, is to be prepared, and
presen'ed in the records of the institution.
Monthly Reports will J)(, sent to parents.
