Pictured is Gardner Road at the intersection of Washington Street around 1897.The house in the foreground was built for shoe manufacturer Arthur Jones in 1894-1895, Eugene Clark architect. The house on the left edge of the photo fronts Washington Street. These houses were newly built in the 1890's and featured three levels of living.
