Description:
The White Mountains Stereo Views Collection consists of approximately 1,600 images. Geographically, these stereo views cover an area from Mount Chocorua and Conway in the south, Mount Moosilauke in the west, the Maine border and the Baldface peaks in the east, to Gorham and Mount Waumbek in the north. The dates of the materials range from the late-1850s to the 1890s. Many photographers are represented in the collection, including the Kilburn Brothers, Nathan W. Pease, John P. Soule, F. G. Weller, the Bierstadt Brothers, H. S.
