This series includes woodcuts, engravings, and etchings, from the late 15th century through the 17th century, produced in the Western tradition. Among the important artists included, in addition to Durer, Rembrandt, and their contemporaries, are Hendrik Goltzius, Lucas van Leyden, Hans Holbein the Younger, Anthony van Dyck, Abraham Bosse, Jacques Callot, Robert Nanteuil, Stefano della Bella, Wenceslas Hollar, and others.
