Wayland Waterworks Centre Systems 1926-1927

Well-known Wayland photographer, Wallace H. Folsom, documented the construction of the new system that brought water to Wayland residents' homes in Wayland Center for the first time in 1926-1927. A comprehensive set of blueprints for the Wayland waterworks exist, but this is the only photographic record that exists. The collection contains 125 photographs that capture the construction of the new water system in Wayland, MA between 1926 and 1927. The photographs are mounted on black paper with photo corners. Captions are glued to the page below the photos with pictures and captions are attached to both sides of the paper. The detailed description allows for better understanding of the images and the construction undergone in Wayland to supply water to residents.
