Fair - one broken lens (lens over right eye) 4 1/2" x 1 1/4" Spectacles - round - metal - folding Supposed to belong to Sam Whittemore when driven out of house by British. These spectacles do not have ring ends, and the rounder lenses indicate that they are rfom the 18th century. The sides of the spectacles are double-jointed, allowing them to fit more closely around the wearer's head. Double-jointed sides are first invented in 1752, so these spectacles are from after that point. (Kate Potter, 2019)
