Benjamin W. Huebsch, often known as Ben Huebsch, was an American publisher in New York City in the early 20th century. From 1920-1924, he published "The Freeman" magazine and started Viking Press in 1925. Adelaide Schulkind Frank was the Executive Secretary of the League for Mutual Aid for over thirty years. The League, founded in 1920, helped individuals in the liberal and labor movements with loans and guidance. Adelaide served as Secretary for the National Sacco-Vanzetti League from 1930-1932.In this letter from Huebsch, he informs the League that enclosed are five checks and the corresponding bills. The nature of the letter also indicates the financial aspect of keeping the League active.
