A man is eating oysters. GALERIE PHYSIONOMIQUE (A portrait gallery) is a series of 25 lithographs which appeared in the Charivari between November 17, 1836 and December 29, 1837. The prints from the series GALERIE PHYSIONOMIQUE numbered DR 326 to 350 carry French as well as English subtitles. The series consisted of 25 prints by Daumier and six by Traviès. It mainly covered topics such as the theatre, tobacco, wine, and gastronomy. ALBUM. All prints of this series were also published in the Album Galerie Physionomique in 1836-1837. Some of the prints also appeared in the Musée Pour Rire.
