McCormack notes that Bob Witcher's son caddied for Gary Player in Australia. He then informs Evans that Bob Witcher salvaged a Japanese ship and made a film of the salvaging. Witcher made a small fortune from taking the cargo out of shark-infested wasters with lives being lost in the process. However, the reason for McCormack's letter is to inform Evans that Witcher had said he can get a year of contracts for Gary Player in Australia without requiring Player to make any personal appearances with companies such as General Electric.
