Formal portrait of Edward Arthur Larrabee of the Class of 1911. He went on to work as an Assistant in Botany at the Massachusetts Agricultural Experiment Station before enlisting in the war in January 1918. He sailed for France the following April and was commissioned as first lieutenant, assigned to the 9th Infantry in October 1918. He was injured on November 2 by a high explosive shell and died at Base Hospital No. 115, Vichy, on December 7, 1918. "E.A. Larrabee, '11" signed on front. "M.A.C. Collection" and "Library of the Massachusetts Agricultural College, Amherst, Mass." stamped on back.
