Military portrait of David Oliver Nourse Edes (Class of 1918), who enlisted in the war in January 1918 and was assigned to Company L, 131st Infantry. He sailed for France in April 1918 and was killed in action in Gressaire Wood on August 9, 1918. "D.O.N. Edes, '18" written on front. "M.A.C. Collection" and "Library of the Massachusetts Agricultural College, Amherst, Mass." stamped on back.
