Community Education Council public hearing announcement.
Description:
This memorandum addressed to "all parents and community people" announces a public hearing at the Boston School Committee requested by the Community Education Committee. It is on the subject of the Humboldt Avenue School which had been recently opened and needed a name. The school wanted it named after a Monroe Trotta, a black journalist and civil rights activist and the School Committee had voted to have it named after Committee member Joseph Lee's father.
