Man standing before the greased pole with eyes closed during the Greased Pole contest at Festival Betances.
Description:
A man in a sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over the shower cap he wears on his head stands in front of the greased pole with his eyes closed and his hands on his hips. Other men stand around him. They are barefoot. They will form a human ladder, climbing up each other and standing on the shoulders of the men beneath them as they attempt to reach the flag that is tied to the top of the pole. The man in the sweatshirt appears to be the one who will anchor the ladder as he wears sneakers on his feet.
