At this performance given by Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción's Areyto program, Alex Alvear, Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción's Arte y Cultura's Education Coordinator, plays the guitar accompanied by several drummers. A group of students is gathered off to one side of the stage. A boy in the front row of the audience turns to look at the photographer. In the 1990s, Areyto introduced Puerto Rican and Latino American culture to 25-30 Boston public schools through its In-School Cultural Awareness Program and the Young Audiences of Massachusetts Program.
