This program covers a panel discussion by students and faculty on the issue of student demands at Harvard University on April 17th, 1969. To show their opposition to the Vietnam War, Harvard student groups began to heavily protest the University's continuing contracts with the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) during 1969. Student activists demanded that Harvard terminate ROTC contracts, withdraw ROTC academic credits, and create a new Afro-American Graduate Study Program. On April 10th, these protest activities reached a peak when student activists occupying University Hall were forcibly removed by police. This caused a mass protest at the University.
