Unused sample of reproduction wallpaper in the "Devil Paper" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has multiple repeating scenes of devils and other figures which are roller-printed in black on a beige ground. Pattern is a reproduction of a French block printed paper dating from 1820-1840. This paper was used in the Billiards Room at Gore Place in Waltham, MA. The design is based on the drawings of Jacques Callot, a French artist, from around 1610 and are said to depict "The Sins of Man."
