Bond [Aug. 21, 1858] "Know all Men by these Presents. That we Samuel Swan of West Cambridghe in the County of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Principal and George C. Russell and Reuben Hopkins both of said West Cambridge as [?] are holden and stand firmly formed and [?] unto the Inhabitants of of said West Cambridge in the corporate capacity in the full and just sum of Sic Hundred Dollars to be paid unto the said Inhabitants in their corporate capacity and then [?]. TRo which payment will and truly to be made we find [?] our [?] Executor and Administration firmly by these Presents. [?] our hands and seals Dated the First day of May in the year One thousand eight hundred and fifty eight. The conditions of this [?] is such that if the above form [?] Samuel Swan who has been appointed by the selectmen of the Town of West Cambridge Agent for the sale of Spirituous Liquours is said Town of West Cambridge for the term of one year from the date hereof shall well and truly perform all the duties as such Agent as required by the Laws of this Commonwealth of Massachusetts and shall have [?] this Bond with the approval of the Selectmen of said Town to be placed in the Clerk Office of said Town then this [?] shall be void [?] to be and remain in full force.
