No boning. Difficult to photograph due to stiffened sleeve lining. Worn at wedding in 1834 ? Marietta Peirce to John A. Bailey? Crystal beads 1979.001.0003F , probably also worn at wedding. Voluminous sleeves the height, but out of fashon by 1836. Referred to as "balloon" "imbecile" (silly), and "Gigot" (leg of mutton). Described elsewhere as "surplice style."
