McCormack sends Jonathan S. Linen a memorandum from one of IMG's European executives who has been having meetings with Linen's people in Great Britain. He indicates that Stewart Mison feels that there is some interest on the part of American Express in the U. K. for a Wimbledon involvement. Attached is a memorandum from Mison to McCormack identifying Barrie Hill and Russ Shaw as the individuals he has had dealings with for American Express. He explains that their current primary task is to market Card membership, Card acceptance, and increased usage. He briefly discusses their relationship with Amex and ideas concerning a future Wimbledon association.
