Item Text: Working in the Pudential Tower on the 38th floor with windows bordering Boylston when we felt and heard the first explosion. It shook the building and I dropped my bowl of soup. We ran to the window just as the other explosion happened further down the street. We could see the smoke plumes from both explosions, and people scattering everywhere.

This story was collected by the Boston Globe in the days immediately following the Boston Marathon Bombing.
