2 pictures in one black frame Photos of James O. Holt stores Pleasant Street Market, up 1899 to 1935 James O. Holt Grocery, up 1894 to 1948 Savings Bank to left From Duffy "James O. Holt stands in front of the Pleasant Street market during its last week of operation in 1948, shortly before his death. His advanced age and the coming supermarket era made the closing a wise choice for Holt. He had risen from store clerk in the late nineteenth century to the owner of two contiguous groceries located where the drive-up entrance to the Cambridge Savings Bank exists today."
