A letter to Mrs. Nathan W. Fiske [Deborah Waterman Vinal Fiske] in which Orra White Hitchcock writes about her travels with her husband from Amherst to New York City, including the weather along the way, the place they are staying, the people they have met, and how Edward Hitchcock's health is faring on the journey. Orra notes that she is anxious to receive Mrs. Fiske's letter, and sends her love and regards home to her children and friends. Orra began the letter on May 9 but added to it on May 12.
