Description:
A document in which some members of the sophomore class of Amherst College promise to pay the sums connected to their respective names by working on the College hill for ten cents per hour. The stipulations associated with this work are described. Student signatures and the number of half-days of work to which they agree are listed. Ten students signed their names: Timothy Lyman, Henry Kingman Edson, John Stacy Belknap, John Edwards Emerson, George Pierson, Lester Williams, Jr., George Cogswell Curtis, Lewis Green, Samuel Huntting, and William Torrance.
