World War I accessory - French chevron Marked with the insignia "I" between two leaves 2 3/4" by 2" Navy blue velvet with tan embriodered insignia, called "Insigne d'interprete", Allemand 13th region, L'Etienne, France (per note attached). Worn by French interpreter who censored the German Prisoners' mail at one of the large French Centres.
