Notes:
Camp Massasoit is available to children during the summer months. It is considered a character building experience for children and allows them to stay active during the summer. The kids participate in rope climbing, canoeing, and a variety of activities that allow the kids to have hands on experience. They focus on four areas of respect at the camp, including respect for self, peers, counselors and the environment. Camp Massasoit started in 1935. Springfield College's East Campus is still used as it was originally intended, hosting students pursuing the outdoor recreation degree as well as “Freshman Camp,” “Outdoor Pursuits" leadership development, and other team-building experiences.
