A program for the fifty fourth commencement ceremonies for the International YMCA College, now Springfield College, held in 1940. This pamphlet starts by describing the program, including calendar, commencement dinner, prayers, presentation of diplomas, a list of the members of the graduating class and the school hymn and other songs. Dr. Arthur E. Morgan, former president of Antioch College, gave the commencement address. This is the first commencement pamphlet that mentions recipients of honorary degrees. Judson P. Freeman and Elisha Alonzo King received Master of Humanics as Honorary Degrees, and Avery Brundage and Charles Selwyn Botsford received Master of Physical Education as Honorary Degrees.
