A program for the fifty sixth commencement ceremonies for the International YMCA College, now Springfield College, held in 1942. Although the school went by the name Springfield College at this time, its corporate name remained the International Young Men’s Christian Association College until 1954. This pamphlet starts by describing the program, including calendar, commencement dinner, prayers, presentation of diplomas, a list of the members of the graduating class and the school hymn and other songs. Professor Kirtley Fletcher Mather, PhD, from Harvard University gave the commencement address titled “The War in Two Fronts”. Honorary degrees were conferred to Ray Earl Johns (Master of Humanics) and to John Norman Richards, Sr. (Master of Physical Education).
