Henry J. Paar Jr. Ph.D. was a Distinguished Professor of Humanics of Springfield College. Dr. Paar joined the Navy and served in the Second World War, to then graduate from Springfield with honors in 1949. Afterwards, Dr. Paar earned a Master's degree from Columbia University to then be awarded a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology by Vanderbilt University. He returned to Springfield becoming the chair of the Psychology Deparment there at different periods. Dr. Paar was a renowned psychotherapist and a published author. Additionally, he was Peace Corp analyst, a consultant to various NGO's and he also taught at Richmond College in England. Dr. Paar passed in 2008.
