This is a photograph of a performance by young women at Springfield College's Freshman camp, ca. 1954 The photograph shows a group of women on a stage all in a line. They appear to be singing. The photograph is taken over the heads of the crowd. The performance was held in The Pueblo of the Seven Fires on the campus's East Campus. Behind them you can make out one of the seen fireplaces and one of the Murals done by Wo Peen, a native American Artist. The photograph is part of a series of nine photographs sent by Masaharu Takakura (Class of 1955) to Dr. Kenneth Wall. This is No. 5 in the series. An explanation of the photographs can be found in his letter that came with the photographs. Masaharu's note in the letter states "At the Freshman Camp of Class '58."
