William C. Swayze writes to a Springfield College Professor or perhaps Springfield College president Laurence L. Doggett in this hand written three-page letter dated February 11, 1916. Swayze apologizes for not writing sooner, and laments the numbers of men leaving for the war and his failure to pass inspection.
